Fish meal is a high nutrient concentration, can be a special advantage as supplement in high nutrient dense starter diets for poultry, aquaculture and animal feed. Indian Fish meal is a rich protein source and is used as ingredient in feed stuff in the aquaculture, animal feed, poultry feed, pet feed, fish feed and dairy industries. We manufacture steam dried fishmeal at our mechanized modern plants located in javar,Porbandar, Gujarat. Most of the Raw materials used are Sardines, Mackerels, and Tuna etc.

Fish meal is also a concentrated source of high quality protein and fat (5-12%) rich in omega-3 essential fatty acids EPA and DHA. These are deposited in the meat and eggs of animal when fish meal is used as feed ingredient. Incorporation of fish meal into the diets of fish and other farm animals is an efficient method to ensure proper concentration of these important omega-3 fatty acids when used by human beings.

The fresh fish is brought to the factory in iced condition. The icing is done depending upon the transporting time. The raw material is taken through the conveyors from the fish tanks through a metal detector to catch the metal items. Then thereafter the sieved fish is transferred to the cookers which make use of indirect steam for cooking the fish and processed it to the other stages of production like pressing, drying, sieving, and cooling processes.

• It is a rich source of essential amino acid such as lysine which is deficient in most of the vegetable proteins normally used as feed ingredients.
• When fish meal is incorporated with other vegetable protein for feed formulation, the resultant combination results in nutiritive value of the feed which is more than the average.
• Fish meal contains easily digestible proteins and hence digestibility corfficient and nutritional value are high.
• Fish meal contains good amount of 'Protein utilization factor' and feed proteins are utilized to a maximum extent.
• Fish meal is a good source of water soluable B' group vitamins and oil soluable vitamins such as A & D.
• It is a rich source of essential minerals such calcium and iron. In addition, it contains good amount of nutritionally important trace elements such as iodine.
• As SMP Fish Meal is indirectly steam dried and immediately cooled rapidly, the nutiritional value of proteins and other essential nutrients are retained in the meal to a great extentent.
• Unlike soya meal or cotton seed meal, fish meal is free from antinutrition principles such as trypsin inhibitor and gossypol.
